Last chance for new titles in Costco

Thursday, August 04, 2011

Well, even good things must come to an end. So, as a Dowdle Insider, I wanted to let you know that our Costco event is coming to a close. You may have already taken advantage of our special pricing on the premium two-puzzle pack. If not, consider the great price. Also, this is the last time you will see my Dowdle Puzzles Halloween titles in your local Costco store this year. So this is really the last chance to get those titles at unbeatable prices.

As I mentioned at the start of our event, our puzzles now come in two packs at Costco stores. A premium two-pack is a fantastic way to add to your Dowdle Puzzle collection. If you're a new collector, you get two great puzzles for much less than our normal retail price. If you’re a seasoned Dowdle Puzzles fan, you get one new title and one to share. Dowdle Puzzles make great gifts!

I hope you and your family continue to enjoy each new Dowdle Puzzle. Thanks for being a loyal Dowdle Puzzles fan.

Sincerely,
Eric Dowdle

Costco - I am going to write the CEO of Costco about the dual packs.  I was disappointed that I had one of the titles but not the other.  I think others should do the same, as Dowdle puzzlers like picking the pair they would like to put together.
Enjoyed chatting with Bob and his wife at the ASD trade show.  Ended up we are both from San Diego, small world.

- This would have been GREAT if any of the Costco's around me had them.

Costco Puzzles - I didn't like the dual packs.  I wanted one puzzle in each pack, but not the other.  Last time you could choose the two you wanted to buy...and I bought several.  This time I bought none.

- Sadly, I too was disappointed that I couldn't choose myself which puzzles I wanted..  I appreciate that you had puzzles themes that you wanted to move more than others but I still wanted to select which puzzles I wanted for myself.  Instead of buying 4 to 6 puzzles, I bought none.  Also I am disappointed that there were not more 1000 piece puzzles.  Maybe I am coming to the end of my collection.

puzzles at costco - I, like Debra Thompson was disappointed that they came in dual packs because being that I already own 75 Dowdle puzzles it was hard to find a package where I had one, but not the other one!  However I did find 3 dual packs that I didn't have either one.  I don't mind buying 2 to get the great price, but I wish I could have chose the 2 I wanted.

Also the ones in the Ogden Costo were hard to find.  They are in the middle of the store by the books, but I got mine at the Costco in Murray, they had a much better selection.

Puzzle packs - Am already planning to SHARE (give to hospital and friends) these puzzles, after I have fun assembling them!

Like other persons, prefer selecting the puzzles.
I am thankful for the e-mail--to be on the lookout for the puzzles. But, wish Costco would let their customers know the warehouse location and estimated dates the puzzles are available.

- I am disappointed that I can only get the puzzles as a two-pack.  Some of the puzzles I already had and so I bought no puzzles in order to not have duplicates.  I would rather choose which two I want.

GLARE - When do you think there could be a puzzle that is NON-Glare?

I have a lot of your puzzles and I enjoy working them, but the glare on them is a problem.

No Puzzles at Costco - The first time I came across Dowdle puzzles was at the Roseville, MI Costco during the 2010 holiday season.  I was immediatly hooked and not only bought 3 puzzles for myself but I also picked up 4 puzzles as gifts.  So I was extremely excited when I was sent an email during this past spring stating that the puzzles once again would be shown in Costco stores.  Unfortunately I was bummed as Roseville didn't carry them.  I did try another location in Madison Heights, MI they did get them but unfortunately they only carried what I would consider kids puzzles.  Where were all the 750 and 1000 peice puzzles for us big kids?  Once again I've received the notice that the puzzles will be shown at Costco for summer and this time not only is the Roseville location not carrying them but neither is the Madison Heights store.
Next time the puzzle are to be at Costco can you let us know which locations so we know where to shop.

- We love Dowdle puzzles and give them as gifts.  Last time they were at Costco we bought 7 or 8.  This time with the dual packs we bought fewer because for many of them we already had one of the titles.  Unlike another commenter, we prefer the 500 piece size and don't consider them kid-size.  Also agree that it would be nice if they had less glare.

disappointed - I went to Costco during the sale to purchase. there were almost no 1000 piece puzzles. of those that were there and that I did not already own, every one was pre-packaged with something I already owned. Despite the great price, I purchased none of the puzzles. there were a couple I really wanted. I would have even paid full price for the convenience of picking it up and starting it that night.

In addition, I just opened one of the ones that I purchased through the website. many of the pieces were not cut all the way throught. Some were barely cut at all but just enough to indicate that it was a mistake and should be 2 piece and not just one large piece. quality is going done.

Dowdle at Costco - I did not know about Dowdle puzzles until I saw them at Costco and purchased a couple of packages. I love them the minute I started. The quality of the paper that it is printed on, the vividness of the pictures makes it my now all time favorite puzzles. Even my 7yo daughter finds it very enjoyable and even easy for her to do too. Thank you for making something that we can enjoy as a family. I hope that you will bring Dowdle puzzles back to Costco because we would by them in a heartbeat. Also would like the option of picking our selections.
