Veteran's Day—Made in the USA

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Patriots and veterans have played a key role in our nation. These were the people who willingly risked and sacrificed their lives to secure our freedoms. That tradition has continued on, and today we honor the sacrifices of our armed forces veterans past and present. Without them we couldn't enjoy the freedoms we have today. Our nation's stability and comfort are protected through their efforts.

Like our veterans, I love this nation, and want to see it continue to flourish. That's why we’ve decided to now manufacture all of my Dowdle Puzzles in the United States. Soon each puzzle will carry the words "Made in the USA". This is exciting because it means that our customers are supporting our nation by providing stability and jobs.

Thanks to all veterans past and present, and to their families who continue to make their own sacrifices here at home.

P.S. If you’re a fan of Dowdle Folk Art, you may have already noticed the common theme of American flags. Old Glory shows up, sometimes several times, in most of my images. The image in the email is detail from my painting depicting Independence Day in St. Louis.

Good Work - Thanks for your comments on Veteran's Day. We have a great nation and lets keep it that way. Those of us who have lived in other countries know what I mean.  Love all your puzzles.  Dale Robison

Oh Yeah, Made in the USA!!!!! - The only thing I have not liked about your puzzles was that they were made in China. I am "SO" glad they are made in the USA now. Yeah for Dowdle too. :-)

- Thank you.  Finally, a businessman that supports our country and produces its products in the USA.  I bought my first Dowdle puzzles at Sam's for a Christmas present for my 7 year old grandson.  We just finished the first one, Gingerbread House, on New Year's Eve.  It was a family affair and we had such fun.  My grandson wants to frame his puzzles for his bedroom.

His father is in the Army and is schedule to deploy to Afghanistan for 10 months in March, 2012.  I would love to get a wonderful puzzle honoring the armed serviceman so we can keep his father close to us.  Any such puzzle?  Thanks again.
