In 1853, Archibald Gardner built a sawmill along the Jordan River on the site that is now Gardner Historic Village. In 1877, the sawmill became a flour mill and a bustling center of industry that included a mattress factory, broom factory, blacksmith shop, and general store. Nowadays, Gardner Historic Village is popular for its restaurant, fun shops, and family friendly activities.
