Wilford Woodruff was the fourth president of LDS Church. He served eight missions for the Church, and his large collection of diaries also provided an important historical record. The design of Wilford’s home was influenced by his missionary service in England. He bartered a pair of shoes, a shawl, and a pair of pantaloons to acquire the first bricks.
